MUSKEGON COUNTY, Mich. – A Michigan man recently won a $1 million lottery prize, marking his second big win in just over a year. The 47-year-old Muskegon County man, who decided to stay anonymous, won the $1 million Millionaire Raffle top prize in the March 26 drawing, according to Michigan Lottery officials.

The Michigan Lottery handed out a pair of $1 million prizes to people who entered a second chance contest with losing tickets.

LANSING, MI -- An Otsego woman is planning to live debt-free after she won a $1 million prize in the Michigan Lottery’s Millionaire Maker Second Chance game. Michelle Roemer, 58, was the lucky winner of the drawing held April 10 at the Grand Rapids Griffins game at Van Andel Arena.

The winner has until 4:45 p.m. on May 15, 2026 to claim the prize. Otherwise the money goes to the state School Aid Fund.

She earned entries into the giveaway by scanning her non-winning Millionaire Maker instant game tickets on the Michigan Lottery mobile app.

The player was one of two winners who split a $733,968 Fantasy 5 jackpot in a February 2025 drawing. The odds of winning the Fantasy 5 jackpot are 1-in-575,757, while the odds of winning the Millionaire Raffle are 1-in-100,000. The odds of winning both prizes are 1-in-57.6 billion.
