The weekend has us getting out of a winter feel by the end. It looks like a pretty nice weekend to get outside and start cleaning up the winter mess.
Thursday is the warmest day of the week, and it comes with a 4Warn Weather Alert due to severe storm potential that could develop this afternoon and taper off in the evening hours.
Michigan is expected to see a quick burst of warm air on Thursday, March 26, ahead of thunderstorms. See temperature outlooks for Michigan.
It's not going to be a robust warm-up for all of Michigan, but the southern half will get into some nice, warm air by Thursday.
Light snow will stay in the forecast for Northern Michigan today through about noon, but the southern part of the Lower Peninsula is already on the gradual warming path that will last until late Thursday.
