Hey remember when I had that issue with my kiln?! (fixed now!) Well, quite a bit of my metallic glazes ran and literally absorbed into my kiln shelves. I attempted to clean them off but I don’t know how much longer these 25 yr old kiln shelves can take it! The glaze is so soaked into the kiln shelves they are eventually going to seep through any kiln wash I use. I was already thinking about replacing my Cordierite kiln shelves this year.
