Growing up in Redruth in the 90s was really tough for a lot of people. With the closing of the mines and not many jobs, Redruth was a sad place. I was 16 when my old man passed away and by 17 I was not only unemployed but also homeless. I sofa surfed for a while and eventually moved upcountry to work.
