Falkirk Wheel, the only rotating boat lift in the world. It consists of two counterbalanced arms shaped like a Celtic double-headed axe that rotate around a central axis. The structure is primarily made of steel, with over 1,200 tonnes used in its construction. Concrete and other durable materials are also used to support the structure. The wheel has a diameter of 35 meters, and the two gondolas, which hold the boats, can each carry up to 600 tonnes of water and vessels. 🎥 Scotdrone #parametric
