It’s strange the turns life takes. When Wombat Rescue was founded it was primarily about the work out there. In the field. The rescue side of things that includes mange treatment. And although I now get average 5 callouts per week I find myself looking at this little girl (and Raye) and think this is right. I was meant to be her carer. Something like destiny😊 she is so trusting.. and Raye is not just such a great diplomat (or DiploBat) for her kind but she’s such a gentle and calm girl. Jemma s

Another wombat treated for mange early this morning. We suspect it’s Stu, a wombat treated once last year before he disappeared. One dose Bravecto is not enough so it’s starting from scratch again and hopefully we can give him two follow up doses. Lucky for him he has most of the fur on his back but his front legs and torso is covered in thick plaques If you want to support us in helping them please do. A while ago I treated a wombat on a private property and the landholder called him Miguel. I also trained her to do treatment and gave her equipment and medication so she could continue treating Miguel. She also joined our ranks as volunteer! After successfully treating Miguel again, this is his journey and what he looked like yesterday. He is beautiful and looking amazing.
